Is this a problem?

Hey guys/gals. Since day one my ZT0301 makes a little rattling noise when it is locked open. It flips open perfectly. Lock up is super solid. Is that little noise normal or should I have a look inside? Thanks in advanced.

It's fine--It's just the torsion bar rattling. (I think it is between the torsion bar tip and the indent inside the knife) I find that when my kershaw knives rattle, they are actually faster than my other kershaw knives that don't...

Hey Tyr, Howz everything? As far as the rattle, that might happen when the blade is closed. A little extra grease in the torsion bar cavity will fix that. Since I don't have a 0301, I can't help ya with the rattle when open...Ray (reholi) or someone else with some accurate info can answer your question...

I have the same issue ... have had a 301 since it first came out.

That's all it's been, an issue. No problem at all.

Generally there is no tension on the torsion bar when Speedsafe knives are open. If there is very little grease in there, the bar can rattle. Shouldn't be a problem though.
