I believe it has an ivory handle. It's 16 inches long, Thanks for any help.

Actually, koko, this looks identical to some of the early HI khuks, back when all of them were village models. It is a kothimoda, and Uncle Bill may be able to say if it's an early HI or not. :)

P.S. The handle is bone, not ivory.

It is a Kothimoda for sure. How old I'm not sure and where it might have come from I can't say. If the blade is hardened up pretty well it's a nice rig.

I'd bet by the clean condition of the steel that it can't be more than 30+ years old. Just looks too clean, the steel is still quite silver, and no junk is crammed in the "crannies' of the khuk. Looks cool, tho.

The knife is fairly new but the sheath could be as early as 1900. It is missing the sangli (embroidered silver chain) that would be attached at the locket and it looks like there are no small knives or pouch attached. Any chance of sendin an overall picture of the front and back in focus?
