I met a fishing guide in Cabo and he had a pair. The salt water is tough on equiopment. He had a pair for 3 years and loved them. I guess you gey what you pay for! ;)

the company that owns zebco bought them out... i think they are still the controlling company

the reels are very nice. the $5-600 bail-less spinning reels work great and are a piece of art. limited appeal for me though. my father owns some

the fly reels are very nice as well, but for the price tibor and abel reels are much better. the reel foot on their fly reels is very soft Al...making it easy to damage. replacement parts take forever....believe me i know :grumpy:

i like the pliers, but the abel ones are a better value...all in a relative sense i guess...who spends $100+ on a pair of pliers....flyfisherman like me

Zebco...short for the ZE Bomb Company.
Just a little fishin' trivia ;)
