It is raining like CRAZY here right now...

My backyard is a lake!

The boys and I made some paper boats to float down the "river" running beyond the fence....


It has been dumping on us all day...kinda crazy...but hey, welcome to Arkansas.

Limping along the mulch-strewn trail
in the shadow of the trees in the late afternoon,
deafened by the roar from the nearby highway,
wishing I were home and stumbling to be there soon ...

Then the rain came down!
and the thunder drowned
the rumble of the trucks
just beyond the woods!

The lightning flashed
so I could see
the branches snap
from another tree!

No place to hide,
so I just walked
in the blinding storm
to my own back porch.

The next time someone prays
to be one with nature,
take him out in the rain
and see if he stays ...

It is STILL raining...HARD....the road in front of my place is half-covered with water...everybody's driving single file around the rather large and deep puddles...

You're getting... got... what we had go thru Oklahoma prior to heading West... It's like our whole neighborhood now has a nice river running thru the drain-offs and the parks near our home are now ponds... Although we're suppose to see the sun today and get nice Spring like weather over the weekend.

The rain has finally stopped....


Like you said, Redsnak1997.....just kept coming...and coming....flooded our entire neighborhood. crazy stuff....has happened like this twice since I moved here...this one's the third time.
