It will be one year tomorrow that I got some bad news. I got an email from Rob Babcock saying that his Dad, and our friend, James Babcock (udtjim) had passed away. Jim was a regular here on my forum, and one of my first customers. Although I never got the chance to meet Jim in person, we talked on the phone often. If you get a chance tomorrow, lift a glass and make a toast to our friend, udtjim.

I miss him - he was one of the first fellows on here that I liked to read, and he was friendly and would treat you like an old friend.

His tactics definitely did not suck.

It is my hope that Jim is playing with his knives and hunting in a beautiful place.

Same here. I will certainly be thinking of him tomorrow. It's a rare day that I don't think of him and never having met him that says he must have left one heck of an impression.

I knew of him but didn't know him. It is clear that he made an indelible impression on everyone he met.

It was a tough father's day, being the first one without him. We just marked the first anniversary of his passing. It was also difficult but filled with good memories.

The last year has really flown by with work, school, etc. I've been meaning to do a couple give-aways of a couple of his blades, just haven't found the time. But I plan to get to it pretty soon.

Thanks for keeping Dad in your hearts. You guys were meant a lot to him and I'm glad you all felt the same.

Rob glad to see you posting. it's never easy sir but at least it was filled with good memories. I can't imagine how hard it is even after a year.

Rob I can only imagine how hard it is for you. I never got the chance to meet him and it was hard for me. He must have been a great man. He sure left a legacy behind.

Sorry for your loss, I never got to meet or correspond with Jim but he sounds like a great guy. It was a big loss for blade forums and JK Knives forum. Heres to Jim, SALUTE!!!!
