Not to put down anyone, but with the rush of new members to the Cantina I feel it's time for another safety reminder.

We are all familiar with the high a new H.I.Khukuri brings to each of us and sometimes our Exuberance Overweighs our common sense and someone gets hurt...........Badly.
It can happen in a flash with a knife as big as most khukuris!!!!!!

Until one familiarizes oneself with their new khuk it's a dayumed good idea to use a great deal of care.
I have had brand new khuks go flying outta my hand unexpectedly.
Fortunately there has never been anyone in the way, including me, but I can guarantee that you *Will* need to check your drawers to see if you shat yourself with a close "miss"!!!!

Guys and gals it would be a most terrible tragedy if a child should just happen to be in the way of a flying khukuri.
It gives me full body shivers just thinking of the possible outcomes of a union such as that!!!!
And *Not* the "good kind" of FBS's either.

So be dayumed sure to read the safety thread if you already haven't done so!!!!
IIRC there is a paragraph in the safety thread about letting someone untrained "see" your khukuri.
You know, the redneck who is always doing something stupid.:(

Please, Please be very careful friends. Please!!!!

Agree wholeheartedly! The new high hit me today as I received a new 25" AK. This khuk commands respect (as they all do!). I read Rusty's post to Strider forum on knife fighting and when khukuris are mentioned words like dismemberment easily come up. I will be careful and hope others do also!

I might be a bit slow, but does that mean that juggling with three khukuris would be a bad idea?

...is OK - if you are prepared to change your nic to something like "threetoesvegbody", and hire someone to do your posts

Good tip for newbies, and even more for those of us who've had them awhile:) They say complacency kills more veteran gun owners than badguys do

Definitely. I remember the lurid details in the khukuri safety post. Better safe than sorry...
