Thanks to you all, sincerely! Just had to try it myself, bought a piece of O-1, followed all the heat-treat and tempering info from you folks. Desert ironwood scales, bronze pins. This is the second one I made. Never tried posting a picture, either, if this works I'll show you the first also.

Really, really nice knives. Ditto what Bruce said. I've built several hundred swords and large knives but still can't make a good small one. NICE JOB.
