I've recently been on an ivory and stag buying binge. I now have enough to last me, well I have too much. Is there anything special I need to do in storing this stuff in the workshop? Will anything cause it to fade, crack etc? Thanks.

All of the above, plus:

Keep out of thermal gradients: storage sheds, basements, garages
Keep out of areas of humidity fluctuations (if you live in Hell...sorry....Texas, like I do, this is not easy)

Your best bet is to buy your ivoury intact (I just bought 70 pounds in five pieces), and cut it as you need it. That way, you have less surface area exposed to sunlight, moisture, rats, cats, kids......

Geez, have you guys been to my house? Rats? Hell? C'mon, it's not THAT bad! I do work out of the garage, but I guess I'll go with the rubbermaid bins and put em in a closet somewhere. Thanks for the advice.
