We always start out with the best intentions when doing a new project but seem to get side-tracked by things beyond our control. I can absolutely assure everyone that the Izula is a reality, as is the RC-5 SERE and RC-6 knives. In the last month or so we have had some rather large orders coming in from government and we only have so much shop time and so many machines to produce knives on, so, once again, projects get pushed further behind. Trust me, we wouldn't be running full color ads of the Izula and RC-6 in several magazines if we didn't have the best intentions of bringing it to market.
We do our best to take care of the end user first but in the current economy we can't turn down an opportunity to do larger bulk orders for government or law enforcement. We didn't predict RAT Cutlery growing as fast as it has in such a short period of time. It's been a bit overwhelming. Typically when we announce a new project we have it scheduled to be produced on time, but it never fails that a large order will come through and shove that further back. That's exactly what has happened to the RC-6, RC-5 and Izula projects. But we will get there. We promise that.
On top of all of this, it looks like Mike and I will have to be in Peru next month for a corporate jungle training class for a group of pilots tasked with a mineral, oil and gas exploration contract. Then we have to rotate back in to Peru 6 weeks after that to train the next group, and then we have SHOT show in Orlando coming up, so you might say we're a bit busy. Not bitchin', complaining or making excuses, just saying it like it is. We feel fortunate to be busy, even though we know we have had to put off our end users and customers on some of these new projects.
Appreciate yall hanging in there with us.
