Izula info

Looks good, and I can't wait for December now.
Thanks, Terry

I am VERY pleased to see you add that paracord warning to the instruction sheet. This use of paracord on neck knives is a pet peeve of mine, and something I see repeatedly in the W&SS forum. I was taught early in life to not place a garrote around my neck for someone to grab, or get hung up on an aircraft, tree, brush etc. It has become a lifelong habit of mine to not place things around my neck. I see that you have provided several alternative carries for this knife. I could only suggest the addition of a breakaway bead chain for those so inclined. Well done and thank you. I hope you teach this principal in your courses as well.

Codger

The funny thing is a lot of folks will not wear a cord around their neck but will wear a tie.

As for pricing, as soon as I have pricing I WILL GUARANTEE that it will be posted on BFs. ;)

Can't wait! I'll definetely buy one (probably in OD)

Are those fire steels going to be standard material, or misch metal?

Thanks, and BTW, stop posting and get knife making so we can buy some! LOL

muahahahaha. Oh yeah. Thats gonna be my birthday present to myself for sure!!!! Good stuff!!!

There are some tough-as-nails ball chains out there as well and if the guy grabs the part that most easily breaks away, you might get throttled anyway. I don't like the "gut the paracord and melt the ends together" way of doing it either, although I once did.

Half-inch wide black nylon webbing and some real Velcro, some Singer Upholstery and Carpet thread and you can make yourself a nice neck strap with double Velcro breakaways, one behind your neck and one to the right or left side on your chest.

When my Wife was a Store Manager, she had to have this boatload of keys and the most convenient way to carry them was around the neck. I had this purple strap that I rigged up this way for the very same reason.

Velcro ties - good.

Actually that photo is wrong. We have our own Ferrocerium rod (not Misch metal) that will be built into a small magnesium rod as the fire starter. I guess I should change that picture out since we were originally going to go with the BCB rod and changed our minds.

Very nice guys. I am glad you are offering the kit and knife/sheath only. Gives the option for addition to a larger kit without extra redundancy.

I can't wait for December! Merry Christmas to me!

Yeah, I have to wear a ready tied noose around my neck every day at work. I'm used to being strangled. Maybe the Izulas will be available for Christmas time, with shipping delays and holidays, it's a crap shoot sometimes. Fingers crossed!

I have a place I order from that can get it to my house in 24 hours.... you know I am going to them. They are about 15 % higher but I don't care!!!!!!
