I'm just wondering if anyone could enlighten me to the size difference between a scale, block, and slab of Micarta from Jantz Supply?

I sent them an e-mail over a week ago, and they just ignored it, so I'm hoping someone here would know.

Thanks

Scales are usually 1-1/2" wide x 5" long x varying thickness (1/4", 1/8", etc.).

Blocks are typically the size of two scales together...used for stick tang knives mainly.

Slabs are sheets in varying sizes, 2'X3' as George said.

Go to Koval Knives. All their sizes and colors are listed in their on-line catalog and you can order on-line as well. They will square you away and they answer your emails.

Thanks, both of you, for the quick response. With luck, I'll be working on my first knife in no time!
