I recently came across a Jeep Maple Burl knife at a local pawn shop and I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of it. The knife does have a classy look and 440c steel so it may be worth a second glance. Does anyone got any more info or any opinions on it? Thanks

They are junk knives. I saw them for sale at a flea market, at one point. Unless you are looking for a beater knife, I suggest you don't buy it.

Hi there!

I'm huge Jeep fan myself, so when my friends found out I liked knives, a couple of them got me some of those Jeep knives as presents.

They're not the best. (I wouldn't dare to call them junk as thay have come in handy a couple times). They're made overseas with a very low-quality steel. Construction is not awful but let just say they're not built tough enough. They do have some interesting designs but that's all. I think they're mostly targeted as merchandising for Jeep fans.

You can usually find them in Autozone, Wal-Mart or SAM's Club stores. I've bought a couple of them in packages with other Jeep merchandising like lights, multitools, keychains or water bottles.

They're kind of like the cheap Winchester or Colt knives.

Hope it helps.

run and run fast. for about that same price you could get a rat1 or spyderco persistance and have a real knife and not a folding jeep commercial

Man, I was hoping to get one of these to go with my Hummer knife! Maybe Honda makes a good knife.

Its a folding knife and the pawn guy wants $24. I'm not sure the usual selling price.

they run between $15-$20 (as TKM stated). if you want a good knife in the $20-$30 range get a buck vantage select small/large or a spyderco persistence/tenacious, you'll thank me later.

p.s. the jeep knives that i have seen online only state "440 stainless steel" which usually means 440A, not 440C.

+1 on not believing the "440C".
