hello all,

been very busy at home and at work. Work is going well, but have some not so good news on the baby front.

We found out my wife is only pregnant with one, but he is having some trouble. Likely a downs baby, and has some disturbing heart and digestive tract conditions. The doctors say they appear severe enough that he may not make it to full term, or make it at all.

More tests are coming starting tomorrow. They are doing a special ultrasound on his heart this friday.

we are still hopeful, and praying a lot.

Thanks for your prayers too!

"He doeth all things well."

Tom

Thanks Steve,

heading to the bench, then to bed. Will try to check in more often.

I'm sorry Tom. When bad things are happening to babies and kids it is never easy. Smoke going up for you and yours that all things be done in a good and gentle way.

Prayers for you.
They have new treatment for Downs. The people have them understand love in a way we don't. The baby's just shine love, I guess. I sure hope it all works out for you.

Tom, my very best wishes for you, your wife, and the baby.

I was hoping to tease you about "REAL" winter.

You take care of yourself, hear?

Tom, good to hear from you, though I guess the news could be better. One of my wife's cousins has downs, and he's a great guy. It definitely presents challenges, but the quality of life can be very good--he's a happy guy, and he has a lot of fun. He loves camping almost as much as I do :D. Smoke sent, hoping everything works out well.

Thanks to everyone!

I am looking forward to the blessings at this point, more than fearing the worst.

No news was good news today.

40" snow in January, and 3 record cold days! Snow comes back again tomorrow. Real winter? More real than I have seen!

Life is good!

Tom, smoke and prayers.

Glad to hear the new job's going well, but it's always hard to hear about problems on the child front.

I hope everything turns out all right, Man. Hang in there.

THAT's what I wanted to hear. The reality overwhelms the imagination, doesn't it? :D Life is "vigorous" when the snow flies up there and living is "vivid."

You get about five years there, then you have to move to the Upper Penisula of Michigan. Five years there, then you have a choice of the Yukon, or International Falls, MN.

The marvelous part of having all the vicious cold is that the mosquitoes STILL are able to have their larvae live through it. Nature is wunnerful. :D

Hang in there, buddy.

Prayers to you and your family.

:(

Hard times mate, my heart goes out to you.

We received good news yesterday. The fluid around the baby's heart is greatly reduced, they now think it may have been a reaction to my wife's fever. His heart otherwise appears to be working well. There are still other issues, but not so life threatening. They will probably have to draw off some amniotic fluid, as it is increasing faster than it should. When they do, they will be able to do more definitive tests.

he is past 24 weeks now. Another 10 would be great.

His name is Timothy Ian.

With our last initial, his intials will be T. I. M.

When you are an engraver, you think of stuff like that! :D

Thanks all for your prayers!

Tom
