Here we go again! This time, what is your favorite folder? I actually have two, the Buck 110 (big surprise there), and the Victorinox Forester.

Well, 80% of the time it's the one I just got, but overall? Probably my Benchmade 710 at the moment. Problem is, there are several upcoming knives that I somewhat expect to take over the number 1 slot when they hit. The Benchmade 810 and Spyderco Szabo folder in particular.

My Buck 112 with finger grips seems to go everywhere with me. I guess I just like its size and weight, and its pretty tough. On dress occasions I'll carry smaller and slimmer folders like my Buck 305 lancer or Buck759 Metro.

Spyderco para 2 for me hands down. I also love my se spyderhawk in h1, but it's no quite as an all arounder as my para 2.

My current favorite is my Vic Farmer with added pliers. My all time favorite would be a William Henry carbon fiber T-12 that was a gift from my wife.

A couple years ago I picked up a Benchmade HK 14205 Snody design AXIS in 154CM and has been my main EDC carry. But a few months ago I started getting interested in the Zero Tolerance 0350 which is usually made in S30V but I kept putting it off. Then after finding out that they made a limited run of composite 14c28n spine/ZDP-189 blade, I had to get one. I just purchased one from another forum member and got it about a week ago.
I run the chiller plant for a large computer server company and a couple days ago while passing through the Shipping/Receiving Dept, I saw that the guys there were using box cutters to carve up some heavy cardboard shipping boxes for disposal and I asked if they could use some help. Initially they were stunned that I was actually volunteering to do manual labor [I'm not really known for that sort of thing], but when I took both knives from my pockets and said I wanted to do some comparison testing, they relaxed knowing that I had an ulterior motive [I am known for that sort of thing].
The HK did a fine job on the boxes I carved up but the ZT was like a hot knife through butter! I let the other guys try it out and they were amazed at how effortlessly it performed.
So the HK has been retired to back-up duty, and until something better comes along, the ZT is my main EDC folder.EDC Folders 1.jpgEDC Folders 2.jpg
I still have the pocket clips but as you can see, I removed them. Personally I have no use for pocket clips.

Haven't found it yet, I go back again and again to my plain edge Kershaw Leek silver frame lock tough, it's tougher then it should be and just has a nice quality finished feeling to it. I'm not a big fan of the assisted feature but there you go.

That's not counting this one of course, which just seemed unfair to the other knives, ;)

Spyderco Paramilitary 2. I want some custom scales for one, but they are $$ since they are a pain to make.

I've been EDCing a Kershaw Shallot for a couple of years now & love it.
I love the Speed Safe assisted opening for one hand open & closing.
It's a frame lock so its plenty strong & has a sexy recurve blade.
It's very slim & very unobtrusive in pocket.
I recently got a Vic. OH Trekker for in the woods too, gotta have a saw on my SAK.

If I could have only one, I would lean towards a Spyderco, probably a Military. I have been carrying a flat ground orange Endura fairly regularly for the past few months and it reminded me how much I like their knives. I carried an original Hunter for about 5 years as an EDC when I was in my early twenties and then a Worker or Police model after that. They are very handy knives and, in my experience, durable and well made with great ergos.

SAKs are great as well. The classic 110 is hard to beat too!

The Para 2 is my work knife and all the other time it is my Kershaw Skyline. Only 2 folders I have, all I need.

Made in USA Old Timer Stockman
Victorinox Large Hunter with locking blade
Victorinox Alox Farmer
Case XX Large Stockman in CV steel

ZT 550 for now. I want a Buck 112 but never seem to get around to getting one. I gave a buddy my 110, great knife!

Guess I'll stick my 2 cents in on this. My current favorite is my Kershaw JYD II.
Just can't leave it home, regardless of what else I bring along.
