Hypothetical question. If you could only own one handgun, what would it be, and why? Remember, this one gun would need to serve you for all purposes. Pictures are always fun!

Ruger Mark III .22 for sure. Fun, accurate and cheap to shoot.

Colt Python 4" barrel. I've never held one, but it's the gun I want the most.
I wouldn't want to carry a long barrel pistol everywhere, even though it would be more accurate.
I can shoot .357 magnums pretty well.
And, I just like revolvers. Maybe like this, but blued would be good as well.

One handgun? That's just mean:D I do love my Ruger Mark III but if this will be for all purposes then maybe I would go with my Springfield 1911. I could pick up a .22 conversion and shoot cheap and carry it in .45. What's your choice John?

Colt Peacemaker or something similar.

I'm much more of a shotgun or rifle type, but there's something about those old "cowboy" type pistols.

Big fan of my Glock...but...I'd choose:

Ruger Super Redhawk .44 with a 4" barrel.

It would always be enough gun. It's rugged and reliable. Fun to shoot.

S&W 686. Which, coincidentally, is my only hand gun. Not too heavy, easy to maintenance, and I can fire .38s from it to make it cheaper.

This would be hard as I am not a pistol guy at all. I've probably shot less than 200 rounds through a pistol and most of that was .22. I think my choice would be a CZ75 if it fit my hand, otherwise a Browning High Power(or clone). The CZ75 is a good chunk of steel and comes in 9mm so there is very little recoil. They are supposed to be pretty reliable and accurate. With the kadet kit you can shoot .22 in it as well. The Browning High power is another good choice. Actual Browning brand ones are pretty expensive, but I would probably get a clone and refinish it/update it. They are a slim SA 9mm pistol with a metal frame. They are battle proven and well liked. I don't think there are any .22 kits for it though.

Easy.....Ruger SP101. Small enough to conceal and carry (my standard EDC) and with the right .357 load, plenty powerful for most practical purposes. Sorry..no pics at this time. Mine however is wearing a set of Crimson Trace grips and a Gemini Customs Fiber Optic sight.

Colt series 70 .45 of course.:D
If I had a second choice it would be this little guy though...

So damn versatile, add a rifle, shotgun & rimfire barrel & you're good to go for any critter on the planet.

Ruger single six 6" barrel with interchangelbal cylinders in 22 lr & 22wmr. Great pack gun and enough powder to still do some damage

man all you guys are fancy around here :) I'm going to go with old reliable and that is a gen3 glock 19. they just work and work and work and work. can't beat it imo.

Hmm, I'd go with a .357, 4", and stainless. Probably a pre-lock 686, or maybe a nickle Colt King Cobra.
