I have been searching for that perfect traditional slipjoint for sometime now. My collection consists of lots of old Case knives, some Marble's knives, and other stuff that I don't ever carry, but lately I have been buying tactical knives with pocket clips on them. I was searching Ebay a few days ago and saw this:

I got in contact with Tony Huffman and we talked a little. He then told me he had one similar to the above one but with brown bone. I knew I had found the knife I was searching for. Well, it came in the mail today and it is better than I expected. Mr. Huffman knows his stuff! This baby will be in my pocket for awhile while I get a rest from the tacticals. Change is good! Enough talk, heres a picture:

Thanks for the knife Tony. I love it!

Congratulations, Mike, and I agree. Tony brings a lot to the table with his traditional designs. I picked up a single-blade stag trapper from him a couple of months ago, and it has seen quite a bit of time in my pocket already. Reminds me of hand-made work I've seen from some of the old-timers. Nothing on it looks machined, and though to some that may mean it's not technically perfect, I really like that "hand-made" look and feel. Very nice work--he really captures the whole traditional package for me.

Here's a link to my knife from his website:

Michael, that's a good looking knife! Makes me want to whittle something. In my opinion "Traditional" is cool.

Looks like a great knife you got there Michael. I certainly know what you mean when you speak of the quality of a Huffman knife. I bought an elephant ivory liner-lock with a wharnecliff blade from Tony this summer. The knife was very well made, the filework was clean and smooth, and the design was so well executed that I nearly decided not to give it away as a wedding present as I had initially intended. Indeed, I found myself thinking 'hmmm... I wonder if Andrew has a toaster... or a blender.'

Alas, I did the good thing and gave the knife to Andrew right after his wedding. His wife tells me he carries it regularly and shows it off every chance he gets! :)

I really appreciate all the comments. It is really a moral booster. Makes me try even harder to make better and better knives.

Thanks everyone, God Bless You all.

Sincerely
