Just got my first Strider, GB

Just received my first Strider (GB) from Phil @ 2theHilt. This knife is outrageous!!! It makes all of my other folders weak in comparison. The action on the blade is smooth and the lock up solid. It's the closest thing to a folding fixed bladed knife I have ever seen. I don't know whether to get a kydex holster for it in the fixed or folded position (probably both). This knife is absolutely worth every penny I paid.

Mick, I am absolutely sold on Striders. My Sebenza is getting parked in the safe and is hereby retired.

I'm trying to decide whether to get the AR or GB. I don't want both.

Does the GB come in S30V?
 
The one I got from Phil is the one that's mis-marked BG42, but it's S30V according to Mick. I figured a GB in the hand (even a mis-marked one) is better than waiting months down the road. Get a hold of Phil, he's only got two GB left last I heard. The tanto blade is awesome. I thought about the AR model, but for puncturing and tearing things up, tanto's the way to go.

Congratulation on your first Strider. You will love your GB. The big problem with owning a Strider knife is that they are very addicting. You just can't own one. My other advice to you is get a second job to help feed the addiction.

Oooooooo....pouches and kydex holster. OK Matt, how much for the kydex for the folded GB? Do they come in left/right handed models? I'm a righthanded. Where do I send the money?

Geezzz and I though my gun hobby was expensive. I have visions of a SnG in my future...ahhhh...can't resist, must have another Strider...

For me... Leather works. It makes the knife look great and is durable as all heck. As many of us already know, G2 sheaths are first rate. This is my First Strider and my Second G2 sheath. I can hardly wait.

The leather sheath by G2 looks a lot cooler than the kydex one!I

Hey me too! My first Strider GB, also from Phil! Got it this week and cant put it down. This has got to be the most awesome folder out there. I have not had any problem carrying it in the front right pocket of my BDUs, or blue jeans, but will probably get a SOE sheath sometime. Enjoy, JB.
 
My first strider was a GB as well.
Every Friday at work is casual day and
I always wear my Strider t- shirts, Blue jeans and my GB in my
right front pocket.
