KAI query??

Guys...i posted these pics in BRL,s forum with queries...Most have ben answered ie (model name,steel type etc)..Im interested to know............................
1..why do,s the main blade have Oregon USA on it and the slipjoint have KAI ,Japan (where these knives made from components from both places?)...
2.When did Kai first start making knives for Kershaw and do they still do so??

Kai Purchased Kershaw knives in 1978. The knives you have pictured here were from the eighties and were made in Japan with AUS6 steel. The Oregon USA is just saying where Kershaw the company is.
