I thought you might like to see the sheath style that Kenny and Cody fashioned for one of my RSH. This has his pin lock system and Alligator inlay. Photo by Chuck Ward Lin

that is such an awesome knife.
the pin lock idea is a really good one:thumbup::cool:

Beautiful knife and sheath.
To be honest, I had to do a search to find out what a pin lock sheath is, but what a great idea it is.
Whoever becomes the proud owner of that package is going to be a very happy chappy.:D

That IS an awesome package Lin. The gator looks great with the handle and both knife and sheath have that 'clean' look to them.

Thanks for posting it.

Lin, When you make my subhilt, thats the sheath that I would like. Awesome combo!!

Kenny and Cody do first rate work and this is a prime example.

The pin lock is a great idea. I don't know if Kenny invented it, but I associate it's use with his shop and as such I don't use it out of respect for Kenny. It is one heck of a positive lock up. I'm curious as to where the pin aligns on that sheath. Judging by the knife I would think it's over on the right (edge side) of the sheath???

Very Nice Lin, makes for a great package and they both compliment each other perfectly.:thumbup:

Are you warmer enough down there.

Lin,

Beautiful knife--I love the way your subhilts feel in hand. Awesome sheath as well, that pin lock is cool.

That is a niiiiiiice rig. I've owned a couple Rowe pin locks and they are ROCK solid. Of course, the knife kicks it too.

I have bought two of those pin lock sheaths from Kenny and it is a very neat feature. If you don't have a choil, then you would need a hole in the ricasso. He has made a couple of improvements onit over the years. I order one of his full boat 4 position pinlock models for a big camp knife I sold to a Marine colonel and he was very pleased. I own the other one.;)

Thanks guys. Kenny and Cody have really tried to take care of me and make a rugged and beautiful sheath. I thought I would go back to Chuck and record the actual type of sheath, color combination, etc. we chose for the knife. It's the least I could do for them. We are indeed fortunate to have leather craftsmen on the order of Kenny, Cody, and our Paul Long.

Paul, the pin goes through eyelets on the sheath front and back, although it flushes in the back. It passes under the ricasso between the gottom of the guard and the choil. This locks it in place very secure as well as opens with, well...a snap. We curved the flap to follow the flow of the sheath top and the guard, which is a new application and it worked great. Lin

Thanks for sharing that one. :)

I was only familiar with his pouch sheaths, which I have owned a couple...

Great sheathwork for a gorgeous knife !
A COMPLETE package, Lin !
