Kerambits

Mike Turber of BOSS knives is about to release a folking Kerambit for around $35 or so IIRC. Do a search to find out for sure.

How bout a non lethal impact kerambit? They're really cheap and semi-lethal in the right hand, about $8-9.

Heres a pic:

You can also get the training video.

Hope that helps,
Mak

im beggining to think the BOSS knives are never coming out :p

there are alot of nifty models he is putting out though so I hope they do eventually make it shelves

"Affordable" is relative...I think these Derespinas (RDT) are quite reasonable

The Kerambit willhappen but I will be changing few things after seeing the prototype and viewing the factory. I just arrived back from China today so give me a few days to regroup from trip and get back to Florida.

Oh, so that's how you hold a kerambit. Finally.

sharpasacircle,
THANK YOU!!

Actually, that is one of 3 positions you can hold it in! There is extended, retracted, and a third one, which looks like a saber grip. The pic of the impact karambit shows it being held in a retracted position. You can swing the karambit on your finger so that it is "ontop" of your knuckles instead of "inside" your hand, giving you more reach and powerfulslashes/scrapes.

I have a Steve Tarani karambit video that I HIGHLY recommend. Definitely check out Steve Tarani (do a search) and soak up anything he shows you.

For a custom kerambit from an up and coming maker, check out the thread entitled "sterile kerambit" by C-Camerer aka Craig Camerer. Just do a search under C-Camerer and you will find it, and Craig's email addy.

I like the BOSS kerambit, I'm just a little leary of the fact that it is a folder. Maybe if they made a fixed version..(hint, hint). Also, don't forget about Laci Szabo's kerambits.

You can't go wrong by ordering a kerambit from Craig Camerer. His kerambits are not nearly as expensive as the Strider Kerambit. I own two kerambits made by Craig and the craftsmanship is outstanding. (and the little buggers are razor sharp...ouch!)

one of the tradtionals from Kris Cutlery? I've heard they're pretty decent quality and they're very affordable. Get a pair as trainer/beaters then save up for one of the nice folding ones. Just a thought.

I got one from a guy here in indy on the eastside. He gets his from Malaysia and they are fairly well made. High Carbon blade I believe. Got mine for $40. Wish I could post a pic.

kyui su kim,
could you email me the details of where you got your kerambit from? I'm in Singapore and I sometimes make my way up to Malaysia - I would like to get them....thanks.
