Picked up a NIB OCC 1000. The fit and finish is just great on this knife and I was kinda expecting the stand to be a little cheesy but dang its really nice and solid full metal . When i get a chance ill post some pics of the full set I have of the OCC collection ( Leek, Blur, Random Task ). One thing Im wondering about is why they didnt put a thumbstud or flipper on the 1000. The only way to open it is gravity flipping or grab it like a slip joint.

Ha, I had the same confusion when I bought one. It was heavier/beefier than I expected and as you said the stand is quite nice. Also the composite blade looks great. But opening it is just awkward compared to every other Kershaw I've owned.

Does even look like there is room for a thumbstud... looks weird with the skyline clip as well
