Does anyone know if the blade on the Piston has a hole to receive the ball detent in the lockbar? I just want to know if de-assisting it would require the same kind of modification as the Cryo. I figure one could just check by seeing if the lockbar sinks back into the blade when it's closed or if it sits on the tang.

Moreover, I ask the same question of the Knockout. Thanks for any help or input.

I have a Piston but I haven't cracked it open. I am not sure how the flipper would respond to being manual. It isn't shaped like the flipper on a manual. Sorry, but I don't have any pics of the flipper to illustrate with. I may try to get a pic tomorrow or over the weekend.

(Which reminds me, I was going to do a review of the Piston.)

The Piston is one of the smoothest flippers/knives I have handled when the speedsafe was out. Sadly the ball detent made it flop out of the handle. If you drill one. You gotta post pics.

Almost every knife I've come across with a detent ball has had the same size. Perhaps they aren't really, but if they're different it's beyond my perception. I use a small round diamond craft bit on my Dremel. I made a video about it when I put a small hole in the Cryo blade.
