I just emailed Kershaw & told them that I had just bought a Vapor 1640 & it has quickly become one of my favorite knives...It's thin...solid...nice smooth edges...a nice flat pocket clip...all at a great price.I told them that the only thing I didnt like about the knife was that damn sharp & pointy thumbstud...I asked them if they make a smoother or more rounded thumbstud for the Vapor and if they could please send me one or I would be happy to purchase it...I also asked them if they would consider making the knife with a higher quality blade steel...

Anyway...They emailed me back the very next day and said that they would be happy to send me another thumbstub for the Vapor at no charge plus she will forward my message about the blade steel to another dept...Not too bad at all...I recommend that anyone with a Vapor please use the link I provided...email the company & ask for another thumbstud...Even if you do like the original one...it really cant hurt to have another one for a spare...plus they may change the design if they get enough complaints...Overall...A big thumbs up for Kershaw's customer service
