thanks to brandon, i re-acquired a kevin robinson folder at blade yesterday..and i must say, it is one cool folder!
great finger grooves, tip up carry, great blade grind, beefy but not too big to carry comfortably and locks up like a tank..fit and finish is TOP NOTCH with tight tolerance of all parts and the aged handle material (g-10?) is awesome..don't know if he is still making knives, BUT HE SHOULD BE!
also picked up from aaron a 3ps large persian blade in s30v with a new flipper added..the flipper is at the pivot end of the knife and is smooooth as silk while adding litte to the end of the knife...boy boy is it sweet!
also, mike obenauf will be adding a little cosmetic goody to his new framelock..whick i should have in a couple weeks!
the blade show was cool...i got to see alot of guys that i had only talked to on here and the phone..ncblades, brandon, jeff hall, tom mayo, bob porter, larry and vince, josh of tad, eric blair, keith aka nosmark and ancientsul aka liong (though briefly), mike obenauf and last but not least..aaron fredericks (he was shocked that i had not lost my kentucky accent though i have been in the south the last 10+ years) and his father in-law the great john w smith!
the knife community is REALLY full of nice people!
