Been working on this one today as well as the other Horseman and the friction folder by Mr. Ryan. I am too tired to continue today on this one but if I did all my mapping out correctly on it all I should have to do tomorrow is assemble it. If not I'll have some refining to do and reblasting after that. We'll see.

More pics up tomorrow of it completed.

Thanks for looking. This here is the fourth Horseman folder in a row which is a record for me for back to back orders of one model. Wow! Not to cut down this model but I am looking forward to some variety here!

Well, just as I had hoped it screwed down no problem and is on and working. So all I have to do is make my replacement stop pin to fix this one up and she is all done.

Thanks Khin. Will go out in the mail today.

By the way. Your Horseman stands out as unique compared to the three I've had here before it. None of the others had this big hole drilled out in the back. I don't know if thats factory or something done by an end line user but I've seen it in Emersons before from the early 98 models done just like this.

Many thank you sir and you are the best. Thank you also for helping me in previous folders. You must have 4 hands and six eyes to do these jobs execeptionally well. Truthfully without your excellent job, that Horseman will be sitting in some corner. I like this knife when I received it but I don't trust the liner lock that much. I know many people have guaranteed the liner lock and I am sure they are right but I still can not feel right. Now I feel confidance to carry it, knowing that "the harder I squeeze the folder, the stronger lock it is".

Thank you

Yeah I hear all the stories too about the liner lock and how great it is. I own a few liners locks though and like them just fine for what they are which is just easy carry gents folders for regular tasks a person may need a knife for in daily life. But truth be told I prefer and feel much better about the reliability of a frame lock for anything above the regular call of duty due to the open design and the better long term wear among other things. For what its worth I would sooner hard stab or thrust forward fully with the Horseman now with my frame lock on it than I would ever be able to bring myself to do with it before I upgraded it. I know not everyone agrees but thats my feelings based on what I've seen in my own testings of both types and the other types of locks being used out there. I personally do not feel there is a better choice for a heavy duty, tactical or defensive personal carry folder than a well made frame lock made to look good enough to pass as a gents folder. Call it a wolf in sheeps clothing which is much preferred over the opposite of a sheep in wolf's clothing. If that makes sense.

Hi Steve,
I received it yesterday and I am amazed. This one is like a tank now compare to the one before I sent it to you. IMO, blade will break before lock fail. Thank you again sir.

Thanks guys.

Much appreciated.

Khin, glad you like it. The customer is the final judge so its always good when they are happy.

I have an Emerson CQC 8 just like the one in the picture and how much does a Ti Framelock cost for the 8 like the one above?

For a bare bones get after it user lock side slab replacement only whether its the CQC8 or the Horseman Mini 8 as shown here its $160 plus shipping.

For one like the 8 posted here earlier where I rebuild both sides with a spacer its just over $220 after shipping. Hope that covers it.

Break down works out to be $30 for a low rider made by me. Usually only done on Waveless Emerson models if I have any say over it.

Spacers like shown run $25 with a frame lock. $35 by themselves as stand alone items. I do have a contact and work order information thread. Actually two posted here in my forum on page one all the time somewheres at the top of the page. Find either the, " Low Rider Clip and Mail instructions" thread or the, " Read This To Mail Me Work " thread both sticky posts always here on page one somewhere. Thanks for askin' By the way, these prices are subject to change. Especially in the current economic times so if a month or more goes by check to be sure. I try real hard to keep em steady but these days thats hard to do when buying titanium or other supplies.
