Knife Exchange?

Just something I thought of today.

We are all regulars on John's forum and post/know each other.

Any possibility of having a sticky Knife Exchange where if you have a knife you would be willing to trade for something you post?

Just a thought for our crew here.

Could be anything. JK's or other.
Maybe even sheaths etc.
Just a thought.
 
I kind of like both mrbear's and John's ideas--permanent trades and temporary swaps
 
What I'm thinking is.....say John has an XXXXX and he's always wanted a YYYYY....anyone interested?
Of course it would be JK and bladeforums assume no liability for exchanges.....etc.
 
Sounds like a good idea. They do it over in the traditional sub-forum all the time. I think the call it the slippy exchange or something like that.

Same...but I have some just sitting in the drawer. Besides JK knives I love Case knives. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
 
I like it, but we should ask Esav or one of the other super mods...just to be certain it's cool. If it is like the pay it forward it should be, methinks...
 
That's what I was thinking. It's a straight pay it forward trade for trade. No $$$ involved.
 
OK.....trade for trade even. I have a Glock Field Knife 78 Tan finish damn good shape very minor finish wear/very sharp looking to trade for a Case pocket knife.
Any offers?

Hi mrbear -

Does anyone think it would be a good rule to say pictures are required of any piece offered for trade?

I did go google a glock 78 is, and found them easily.

Would you be interested in a NIB CRKT Klecker NIRK for the Glock?

It seems like a good idea, and yes, I do think that pictures should be a neccisity.
However, since search is active for all members, would it not make sense to just continue on in the trading threads, post what we are willing to give, and seach for what we are looking for? Granted it would be convienent to see what people want for a knive, but I seem to find that in most cases, if people want something specific, they add that in their post. Just a thought.
