knife in the mail

Could someone tell me how can i mail a combat knife from Ukraine to the US. I'm 17 years old and my grandpa just gave me a knife with a 6 inch blade for my birthday. The problem is that he lives in Ukraine and I live in the US. Could someone please tell me step-by-step what I need to do in order to get that knife by mail or by other similar method.

Why not go to your post office and ask? Get all of their requirements.
