Hey guys/gals...my grandma brought this knife back for me from Vegas several years ago and it's just been sitting around in my drawer ever since. I'm not a slipjoint (it's a slipjoint, right) person so I wanted to know if this is anything interesting or if it's just a common pocketknife. It's a three-bladed knife--the largest knife being about 2 5/8 inches with what looks to be turquoise inserts (with some other stuff) in the handle. The longest blade has "SCHRADE+" with "U.S.A.885UH" written on it. Any info would be helpful...thanks.

Mate, That's a nice knife your Grandma gave you.
It has custom scales on it which makes it even more
special. You say you not a slipjoint person ..Hmmm
Have you ever used a slipjoint for very long????
I think you get to like one if you did. That knife
your Grandma gave you would be good one to start
with . Go ahead try it.....

Oh, yes, I forgot. This knife is a Schrade "Lumberjack"
stockman.

Actually, I've never carried a slipjoint. I don't usually carry any knife without a pocket clip--too much stuff at the bottom of my pocket already. When you say custom scales...was it like a custom option that Schrade offered, or is it a third-party custom? Thanks for the info by the way.

Just posted in the Schrade forum (didn't even know there was a Schrade forum). Thanks, guys--appreciate it.
