My guess is that you are looking for a (last generation) G-10 Spyderco Police model, as it meets all of your specs.:).

I've had a couple G-10 Police models, and one was flat-grind, but I'm not sure what generation it was...I was just THINKING that it was the last model.

Sadly, I believe that Spyderco went to a hollow grind on this model. It's too bad.

Al Mar SERE 2000. Flat grind, VG10, G10, clip, ambi, solid lock, and very ergonomic to boot. The downside is that it is very heavy for a folder. I can't carry mine comfortably in loose, lightwieght shorts which my Camillus EDC carries in perfectly. It's built like a tank though.

I 2nd the vote for the Sere 2000. I would describe this as the perfect heavy duty folder. Only one thing to remember is that it is a little on the heavy side for EDC.

Cheers,

Maybe the spyderco native, but I am not sure that it is at least 3.5 inches

I'm going to put my vote for the Buck Taclite. Its DQ now ,but should be still around. Meets all the requirements except for being hollow ground. The blade is thick enough so the grind isnt an issue. With the Paul Bos heat treat it really holds an edge.

I'll put in another vote for the Military.

Lhet, the Native is only slightly over 3 inches and does not have G-10 scales and it is hollow ground. However it is a great knife for the money and I would not part with mine even though it is not my EDC.

It doesn't have a flat or chisel grind, but I think you might want to consider a plain edge MOD Trident. From what I've read, they're very well built.

How about the Wegner pro-hunter? I don't know why people don't recommend this more often - it's got S30V steel, excellent build quality. Perhaps the only thing that may not go well with some is the shape of the blade (akin to spydies). And it comes under $100. Show me another G10 3.5 inch liner-lock folder in S30V that comes under a $100.

From your specs, it looks like you were looking for an Emerson CQC7 spearpoint in S30V?

Another Millie fan here. Meets your specs, carries well (even clipped to the waist of loose fitting shorts), transmorgrifies into a big knife once it's open.

Fulloflead said it first--The Benchmade 730 or 735 Ares is what you're searching for.

G-10 handle with metal liners. And the G-10 is not just boring black, but is available in red and black or green and black.

154CM stainless steel.

Spear-point flat-ground blade.

Can be in satin or black coated blade.

I think the blade length is 3.6".

The lock is the Benchmade Axis-lock. Better than the liner-lock IMHO because it's ambidexterous. And it's designed to compensate for wear over time.

Good luck,
Allen.

If you are looking for chisel ground, I'd look no further than an Emerson CQC7A or B. 2 of the best tacticals around. If you still want flat ground, the Military is hard to beat. A nice dagger shaped folder is the Gerber AF folding dagger but they don't come in G10.
