Does anyone know of any other knives like the Strider SA. Small, preferably cord wrapped handle, i looked at the tops wolf pup as well and its along the same lines as im thinking. not much larger than a 2.5 inch blade.

Not too many knives are made with cord-wrapped handles. Aside from the Strider, I think some of the asian style knives like the ones made by Steve Corkum or R.W. Clark would be prettly close.

The local cutlery store has some Corkums in stock. EMail me for more info.

I have a Strider WP, which has a clip-blade of around 3.25". It's 1/4" thick, made from S30V, and has a cord-wrapped handle with tiger-stripe finish.

It cost me $140 and I love it. Great knife.

Have you seen any of Larry Ramey's knives? A post below this one made me think of him. He has mostly titanium knives, but I have seen him use steel in some older ads in the back of Blade Mag. His knives are very affordable and he does both cord wrap and slab handles. Check out his website http://www.neckknives.com/ It's not very good or complete so you might want to contact him and see what else is avalible.
