How do you prevent hot kydex from affecting or degrading a kraton handle during the molding process?

Have not found it to be a problem at normal working temperatures. Just don't put the knife in the oven - heat kydex separately.

i took a chance on it because the knife was relatively inexpensive and, as Mike said, no problems at all. if one was going to have problems, it would've been mine because (due to the type of sheath i was making) i had to TOTALLY cocoon the ENTIRE knife in hot kydex. everything was fine.
one thing i have with the kydex/kraton combos is: you might have to flare the mouth of the sheath, a little, because the edge of the kydex can wreak havoc on the kraton. be sure to check your tolerances
