Hello again, does anyone have info onthe company 'Kris cutlery'...as far as being reputable, having good product and standing behind their product. I know there may be some Escrimadors in this forum that can help.
My second of two Bali's arrived today. A BM-47

Thanks in advance:)

Congrats on the BM47. Seems the bug had re-bitten hard.

As for the Kris Cutlery: they're known to be a very reputable shop for their products. I've never ordered anything on the Sandata side, but did order one of their Tai-Chi swords as a gift for a friend. So interms of the sword, they live by their word; their products are made by local bladesmiths and are of very good quality.

Kris cutlery blades are all made in the Philippines. They are good blades for the money. I ordered a Yari blade from them that was good quality. If you want more info check out swordforum.com Kris Cutlery blades have been discussed in great detail on that forum.

My experience with Kris Cutlery was nothing less than excellent, albeit quite some time ago in the late 80's. At that time they offered some limited edition balisongs that were quite unique in style and the way they came to be. They acquired all the materals in the states, i.e., damascus steel, stag, horn brass, etc.. then took said materials to the Philipines and had a very limited number of damascus balis crafted with traditional methods by the area's master craftsmen. Very high quality, MUCH higher craftsmanship than your typical bali from that location. My particular model had a very slender double-edged blade. Excellent edge geometry and grinds.

I don't recall the name of the gentleman who owns the company, but I had a very enjoyable phone conversation with him about balis which probably lasted over an hour. I remember thinking about how SHORT we seemed to be on the phone. Great pr....:)
