Kris Threesome!!!

Here are some pics of the Kris I've been doing recently. These are all slightly different.

One is black & Green Micarta textured and bead blasted scales with Jeweled D2 Steel, I usually do these zero ground but this one has an edge on it. The Pommel is ground out as well. This is a diamond chisel grind.

The Next is Black and Red G10 scales and Bead blasted with the bevels and blade grinds satin finished. This one is a more typical Kris that is double ground.

Last is my favorite. It's Black G 10 with Satin jeweled blade. Zero ground and with a slight upswept tip. Stubbier than the others and just about 3/34" (others are 4").

I'll keep churning these babies out as I love to make them, they are fun! Doing a larger Damascus version now. Thanks for looking...Rich :D
 
Wow, those are really nice. I like the modernistic design with the blades, that's awesome.

Are they going up for sale on your site soon?

How does the jeweled thing work? I've never seen that before.
 
It's just a rod of Cratex and a drill press, really easy and it's good at deflecting kydex scuffs. As far as I know I am the only person doing jewling of blades? I always saw it on liners and bolsters so I decided it would also look great on blades. :D
