I have found the manufacturer of Kydex (GE) and am working on purchasing straight from them. This may require bulk purchases. Anyone interested in Co-Oping. BTW, I found that Kydex is availible in over 300 colors.

OK, I can get Kydex T in .062" for $2.75 per foot. It comes in 32 standard colors, neon colors, and several textures. They are sending me out a sample pack or colors and textures. I will have to order 32 sq ft minimum. This is per color per texture.

Not looking for money now. Just pledges for x amount of feet.

Hey RW...

Hmmm..
Sounds interesting...

You only have to buy one sheet of the same color at a time ???

Even at $90.00USD per sheet,,which is quite a bit more than I'm use to paying,,, it may be worth it if you can get some cool stuff...

If you can get some interesting colors I'd be interested...

For instance like a desert tan,,that would be cool..

Are they straight colors only or are there some camo options available ??

I received Kydex's kit shortly after I ordered material from a local plastics distributor. To answer your question, Normark, they do not have patterns like what Blade-Tech makes. It's hard to describe, but their patterns are like white with red flecks or blue with light blue static and that sort of thing. They don't do camos or anything.

Its actually $78 per sheet, but figure for drop shipping. And yes the minimum is only one sheet.

Sounds like an opportunity to go into the Kydex Supply business if you could select a couple of colors that people would want and had a place to store it. Offering a selection of say, ten colors would be really cool.

Ya I could, but I just want to cut down on my cost. I have no desire to make a profit.

I also want some blaze orange for some SRKs I'm working on.

I wouldn't have any use for orange, but if you were buying any primary colors (esp. red) count me in for 3-5 sg. ft. Good idea, R.W., hope it works.

I would take about 4 square feet of any color you get. I am assuming they sell them in 4x8 sheets, I would like a 1 foot by 4 foot peice, I would take at least 5 different colored peices.
Kyle

I would take 10-20 sq. ft. in colors other than are available at knife suppliers. Let me know.

Jeff

Although that price is almost Double what you can get black for, most places want to sell you a pallet load of a color at a time, so if you are interested in splitting out some colors just let me know I would want at least half a sheet of a color at a time, if that helps any...

Let me know I need some different colors!!

Where are you getting Kydex for less than half that? Let us know, the idea is to cut cost as much as possible.

What grade of Kydex is it. I have found that there are almost 20 differant grades of Kydex. The price I'm getting is for Kydex T, the highest impact resistantance for the thinest material.

Sounds like we have enough interest.

As soon as I get in the samples, we can decide what colors would be the most popular.
