Kydex sheath too tight

Gentlemen,
I just bought a like new condition Livesay Recon Machete with a great kydex sheath. The problem is the sheath hugs the knife too tightly and the blade is very hard to unsheath.
I have sprayed the blade with silicone and WD-40 but that didn't really seem to help much. Are there any techniques for loosening the fit of the sheath which you could recommend?

The main tips: heat SLOWLY. Don't overheat. Mask the parts of the sheath you aren't heating, because spreading heat can ruin the fit unintentionally. Diagnose where the main problems are. Usually the fit is controlled at the lip of the sheath, where it grabs around the handle and choil of the knife. Start here before you screw around with the main body of the sheath. if you are worried about screwing it up, if you want to send it to me with return postage I will gladly do the work free of charge.
