Kydex sticking together

Here's a question for you Kydex experts.
I recently got into Kydex sheathmaking for my fixed blades - both fold over and pancake style. I am using the 0.093 Kydex, heating it up to 350F or so, and forming it under pretty substantial pressure between two vertical plates and the Knifekits.com 1 inch foam in my 6 inch bench vise.
After cooling down for 5 to 10 minutes and removing the sheath from the form, I am struggling to get the two halves apart to get the knife out - they stick together as if glued.
Is there a spray or something else I can put on the inner surfaces before I form to prevent the sticking, or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks

Heat may be a little warm and I use WD-40 (sometimes Pam cooking spray) as a mold release. I heat mine up about there but never had it stick even without mold release.

I had this happen to me a few days ago as well. It was a pain in the butt to get the two pieces apart. I figured I'd hit it with a shot of WD40 the next time I work with kydex. I have always used it on the molding, but not between the layers.

After removing your kydex from the press, let it cool a few minutes, then twist the whole unit. That should release the seal from pressing the pieces together under pressure. You'll hear a cracking sound. After that it should be fairly easy to open the formed kydex enough to remove the knife.

I usually take a small rag with WD40 on it and wipe down the Kydex on both sides to keep it from sticking to itself, knife and foam. If you do this, don't use your kitchen oven. The WD40 will give off some odor. I don't think the missus would appreciate that.
