I have to start by saying that I am enjoying this knife... a lot! I have had it out a few times and in the kitchen once. It is quite a blade!

Here it is with some of my other blades for a brief comparison. Some of this is clearly apples and oranges- but that's what I have! Different knives

Here we have Swamp Rat Bandicoot, Scrap Yard Weiner Dog, SW Howling Rat, Ladyfinger, Koyote Convex EDC and SY S5. I just put in the Bandicoot for the picture- it's more of a tactical blade in my mind and can't hang with the others in woods.

Here doing a few basic chores. In short, the ladyfinger is a monster. It is superior to the other blades with the woodworking. The Koyote is only a step or two behind, but the bigger Ladyfinger just brings too much game! The Ladyfinger is just effortless and has great ergos (although all these feel very good). No hand-pinching this time around- must have come up before b/c I've been using bigger blades lately. I have batonned with them all- no photos- and they all do well. Even the Weiner Dog and Koyote do well with smaller wood.

Here's something some folks probably don't do much with these sizes blades- a little chopping. I really prefer a 7" blade or so with a back up in this size range- but I've always been amazed at with the Howling Rat can do for it's size. I've done a full shelter before with it- it's more work than a 7" blade, but I could do it without killing my hand. The HR and S5 do very well here. Used the Weiner Dog for a laugh.

I didn't take photos in the kitchen. They all handle chicken very well, but the veggies were best handled by the Koyote and Weiner Dog. This is where the Ladyfinger lagged. The S5 does well with all of it though too- I'm amazed by what a good slicer it is.

I really like carry a bigger blade with one of these 4" blades as back up.

The Howling Rat and S5 have been tops as all rounders for me. I have huge love for the WD and Koyote too- small blades that work big and weigh nothing. Now, I'm loving this Ladyfinger! Does so much well in the woods- excellent, excellent knife!

Something I forgot to mention that is a part of my knife usage is that I can't pick up a blade w/out thinking self defense. Although marriage and fatherhood has greatly reduced all my martial arts practice, I still like to do some bladework. The weiner dog is the king of this group. It is fast and nasty! The bandicoot is bad too- a bit slower than the WD. I gotta say the Ladyfinger surprised me! Boy, it is lively in hand and moves very fast! Think you must make a mean fighter when you want Mr Roy!

Lastly, thanks for the great knife! :)

Thats sweet. I like all the comparisons. I think the Ladyfinger in that thickness is definitely more of a woodworker than a kitchen knife. In 1/8" steel, its an excellent kitchen knife. Thats what I use in my kitchen.

Yep, I didn't know you offered 2. That slicer must be sweet! But, I'll be giving this one up when I am d-e-a-d!

Just an awesome blade.

The edge holding is far superior to the Barkies I've owned too. Another point I really like.

Nice pics man, the Ladyfinger was the first Fiddleback I fell in love with. I was thinking I had chosen the Bushfinger instead of the ladyfinger. Now I'm thinking it just got relocated in then order on the list is all. I think likely I'll still be getting one at some point.

Hah! I understand- think it's just reversed with me and the Bushfinger.

I have this knife b/c of you though! That awesome review sold me on trying this.

After Andy's post, I am tempted for the thinner ladyfinger too...I bet it is still a fantastic bush knife.

I can't be happier with this knife.

Easy to do an awesome review using an awesome knife bro.

I have Recluse in the works too and I am really looking forward to getting it out in the bush too, but like you said about your Ladyfinger, I won't be parting with my Bushfinger. If I had my way in things it would likely hit the Pyre with me :)

I am seriously thinking on getting one of Andy's thinner knives too, that may be the route I take with the Ladyfinger.
