lanyard

I just got a Microtech Socom Elite, but the lanyard isn't tied on, and I have no idea how to tie it on. Could someone please explain how to get it on there?

Are you familiar with the scaffold knot? This is the one I use on my Socom and I believe it is also the way it came. Hard to explain. I would suggest searching on google for knots. I've found many good pics there. Good luck.
