Whats the largest blade i can carry in new york state? Not new york city but the state in general

That would depend on the municipality and the circumstance. It may be ok to go hiking with a machete, or to walk around during hunting season with a bowie knife on your belt; but, that does not mean that you will not be in trouble if you carry them as an EDC.

Check with the towns or communities that you plan to visit.

NY State has no length limit. Fixed, folding, open, or concealed, no limit. NYC has a 4" limit, and you must conceal it.
