Kumar was our best producer when he left for Arabia. He's back and looks to be producing as before. There's a couple of reasons for this. First, Kumar works longer and harder than anybody in the shop. Second, he hires 3 or 4 helpers, relatives -- cousins, in laws, etc. -- and uses them better than any other kami uses their helpers.

This WWII is a fine effort -- 17 inches and about 26 ounces. Everything near perfect, fit, finish, hardness. Beautifully done horn handle. Kumar makes a horn handle as well as anybody in the shop. Good karda and chakma. Same old scabbard by village sarki.

A steal at $75 delivered to your door.

Call or email.

Very well done. Pappy will take good care of it too.

You can bet your life that I sure will take care of this thing like it was my long lost Uncle. I sure like the looks of that thing and I know it will look better than the picture, evn though Uncle Bill does a pretty good job with the camera.:D

Pappy, you're a crack up. Few minutes ago you were upset because an extra long and heavy WWll was up for sale. You said it was the kind you like. Me too! Now I find you moments later caving in to another extra heavy workhorse in another thread.....Congrats.

Check back on the other thread and see where it went. I am getting ready for Santa Claus before I have to shop in the crouds. I won't do that this year. I guess I should have made this my third Khuk and all I would have to get would be the Christmas.:) :)

Rag Horn, I seem to be full of surprises today..Some to myself. I just about had Uncle Bill ready to tell me where to go I believe. My jfingeres were getting tired from typeing emails.
No joke though, The main reason that I wanted that 18" WW11 was because of the weight and who made it. I'm not sure why the heavy knives draw on me so. When I went with Uncle Bill's first suggestion, I was tickled to death when that 15' AK arrived. It sure felt good in the hand. Like you knew you had something in the hand that could really do some damage if you needed to. A bit slower than some perhaps but when that thing connects with the target, talk about kick a$$.
I'm sure all Khuk nuts know what I'm talking about.:D :D :D

Pappy, I'm with you. I like the heavier but still carryable numbers. My chitlangi is on the heavy side, 25oz for 19"..my 18" WW2 27.5..If I remember correctly.. Both are still tools for work, and for defense.. a light long fast number would be nice, but my next purchase will be a 20" AK I think.

Ex Marines are too easy to sell. If I only could find one rich ex Marine that's the only customer I'd need.

I'm sorry Uncle Bill. I'm not richbut, you have been so good to me that I will try to be the best customer that I can for as long as I can. Dangdest deals for hand made prefection that I've ever seen. You won't hear any complaining from me.:) :) :D

These will be the first of the WW11's. the AK was first, then the BAS, 18, 15, and 20 inch Siru. then there is the 20" Kobra. That 18" WW11 is only 2 oz. short of 2 Pds. It probably will not go as a christmas present. I think I will take Uncle Bill's advice and check them both out pretty well before I decide which one to keep. If I can find out for sure, I may have to get c couple more for Santa Claus. I'm glad that I'm starting this christmas thing early. I would just as soon take a beating than have to shop in the malls when the crowds are mobbing the place. :) :)

Pappy, I like you...your rationalizations are as transparent as tissue, transparent as munk's, as he attempts to make the wife understand for domestic tranquility the household defense budget must be maintained against the threat of Christmas and foriegn invaders.

Pappy = my mistake. I thought I had read earlier that you had bought 2 for your sons.

btw, I like reading your reviews - they're more fun than most.

I don't see much good in saying anything but the way things are with what I'm doing. I put my knives through a pretty good run of work so I'm confident enough in them to stake my life on any one I have in my hand.

I know that Cliff puts some of the blade to some horrible punishment. I don't recall hearing about HI Khuks failing. I haven't plowed any into the ground to hit any rocks, but they have done a lot of chopping now and show no adverse effects other than dulling the polish a bit. I have been lucky as the devil I suppose but I just haven't had to do much sharpening on any of these blades. Some just got sharper with use.

About the two to the boys. There are three of them and I may have to get all three of them one of the WW11's. I'll have to se what Mom finds out. Some time they will tell her things that for some reason they won't tell me. Concerned about what I might say or something I guess. If they don't like the big knives I'll get them smaller ones or something and keep both of these.:D :D :D
