Just finished these two, both were forged from 1" 1084 bar stock. The spiked hawk head is 9" plus. The belt ax has a 6" head and is on a 16" stick.

Those are beautiful.
Enjoyed seeing your hawks in person at OKCA.
Makes me extremely jealous.
Making a hawk is the main reason I sometimes think I need an anvil.
Then I think about having a large hawk shaped burn across my face and Im not so sure. Something someone said about having a pair of tongs the same size as the piece you are working on. Im sure I would take shortcuts that would scar me for life.

Surely you are not going to stop making these!!

I agree with MC Chan, those hawks are beautiful. Not only are they tools, they are works of art. You have every right to be proud of your work!!!

Thanks!
No way will I stop making unless my arm gives out on me. The for awhile is over now. Just have way to many ideas I'm wanting to try now.
