This little Hiking Buddy is a real stunner. Notice the controlled pattern in the spalting. This is a new advancement. I may be able to sign my name that way. More testing to follow. The handle is jade g-10 and the liner, pins and bullseye filler are nat can micarta. Really a stunning combo. The only available knife in the batch also.

Available for $200 shipped. Please add $25 for a JRE sheath.

Seems like they keep getting better Andy. Nice job on those bolsters, and that spalting.

What is the light colored wood on the middle Bushie? I like it.

Those matched Fingers are just fabulous.

That is a really great looking Hiking Buddy! I have a couple of bark rivers in Jade G-10 and I love that handle material.

hello Andy and all,

Love the blades, been hovering around researching for a few weeks now and have decided one of your fiddleback blades is hopefully coming my way.
my problem is its super hot and humid out here, am i right in thinking micarta / burlap all the way? Am living between australia and england and dont know if your wooden handles would like the extremes in temp . what is your advice?

Sweet Looking Batch Andy

If I didn't already own two HB's, I'd be all over that one!

Thanks guys. I love hearing I'm doing OK by yall.

IMO, go synthetic. Wood moves. Even when you write the word stabalized in front of it, it moves. Heat is really bad for this, and so is cold. Humid is bad, and so is dry. I've fixed as many stabalized wood handles as non. Wood moves. I happen to love it as a handle material, but it is going to move and require maintainance and attention, and probably repair to keep looking new. Not big repairs mind you, but little seperations from the tang etc. Its usually easy repair and back to the customer. Happens just the same with stabalized wood.

Micarta is good, g-10 is the best for folks who are worried about wood.

Those KPH's are a thing of beauty! Once I get caught up on my orders, I'm going to go on a KPH hunt!
Great work

Any chance you'll be doing another fighter soon....yours or collaboration again? My hiking buddy wants a BIG brother.:D
Thanks

Hey Andy any word on when you might have a few hunters for sale? I emailed you a little while back but it might have gotten over looked.

Also, beautiful work as always, that KPH is stunning.
