I got this from a local dealer a few hours after he bought it. After working on it, I've gotten most, but not all, the scratches out of it. The gouges I can't do much with, unfrotunately. I was thinking of sending it to Leroy for a blade redo until I realized it had character from years of use and decided to leave it alone. It looks to be a Ver. 5 Var7 (28).

You can get the gouges out. You start with 180 grt. and get the big stuff. Then hit it with 220 to smooth out the scratches from the 180. After that I use 400 and then 600. Rub it down with 0000 steel wool. After that 1000grt. looks great, finish with Brown buffing compound and it sparkels like a new penny...
