I wanted another vintage 309 to replace the one I just sent to BUCK and got another Payoff.

Actual Knife (after a little cleaning). It looks like it's never been used.

I'm assuming that one will be seeing some pocket time:thumbup:
Nice score! That model is on my short list:)

On the contrary, it's the model with the single back spring. The new one I get from BUCK may see pocket time but this one is moving into the display case!

Don't rest up quite yet, you need to find the other 'variation' of this era. Yours is the version with a cut-out on the reverse scale for the pen blade nail nic, there is a variation with NO cut-out on the reverse. So, start looking carefully, usually they don't show what you want to look at....will need to learn the secert ninja method of looking over the edge.......

Maybe I'm odd but I kind of enjoy carrying and using the "odd and rare" ones:)
Nice score on that one!

Nice knife, that sawcut Delrin is hard to clean up. A mild scrub like soft scrub or toothpaste on a old toothbrush and brush with the sawcut would get the white out.
