Just finished this one, its forged from 1084 rather than my usual 1095. And judging from the very funky knives in this genre, being turned out by other makers such as Michael Burch and Lucas Burnley. I'm now working on fresh ideas in the spirit of friendly competition. If I have it my way, this will be the last one I oil-quench.

Maurie McCarthy is a former Australian Knifemaker's Guild President, a jeweller and maker of superb art-level knives. The detail in the cast dragon is superb, but as always, it tends to get hidden by the wrap.
