Here is my project I did a couple days ago. Still needs a bit of touch up work here and there, but it's working fairly well so far as I can tell...

Whoa COOL.I bet that was tough to forge out.

That would be a great idea to wear when you are using the buffer and that way if the knife gets loose you wont get hurt to bad.:D :D :D

Thanks for the good comments, but that is not me, that's my friend/client who I am making the stuff for cheap in exchange for advertising...
 
I actually wore my chainmail to work when I worked for Iowa Metal Spinners. I worked as a disc cutter for a while and you put a square of sheet metal on a spinner dealie and you engage a cutter which cuts it out. Only problem is, if you get to close, cuts your belly right open. Several guys that worked there had scars from serious cuts, but I never got one thanks to the chainmail, and it did indeed work when one day I got bumped right into the path of the corners by another worker.
