I've read that the Crosscut's cutting ability is greater than that of the Micra. I would agree, but the rest of the Crosscut's implements are more difficult to access. Other opinions?

I have both and find the (Gold TiNi) Crosscut the better tool. I don't agree that the tools are harder to access...
I think they are very similar in that respect.
The only advantage the Micra has is that the scissors can cut finer, the Crosscut one are thicker/stronger, but that make it hard to cut small things: like those pesky hang-nails and such...

I had the Micra 'til I lost it and I found the scissors to cut slightly better than the Crosscut's.
I find the implements easy to access on both of them. One thing I don't like about the Micra though is that the scissors seem to get gummed/jammed up pretty easily. Always have to have White Lightning handy for that.

The Crosscut doesn't seem to have this problem. It might wear a hole through your pocket though because of that compound leverage that is exposed when the tool is closed.

I like the crosscut over the micra. I carry it primarily for the scissors and with Sog's compound leverage it not only cuts like normal scissors but can handle heavier duty tasks. Also, because you can take apart the crosscut and reconfigure the tool options; it is a much more versatile tool. The tweezers in both the micra and crosscut leave alot to be desired imho, so I carry sliver grippers separately. I dumped the tweezers from the crosscut and added a phllips screwdriver tool from the larger SOG multitools. I use that much more.

Does it fit in well with the other implements? I'd LOVE to be able to do that without buying a larger SOG multitool. The small ones are exactly what I need. The lack of a good phillips is one of the few serious drawbacks to the SOG CrossCut and CrossGrip, in my opinion. Is there somewhere I could order a phillips screwdriver for the SOGs separately?

Yes,
Call SOG at 1-888-SOG-BEST, and they will take care of you.

Thanks, Rob. Will do. Replacing the tweezers on my CrossCut would be great. I may do the same on my CrossGrip.

Any suggestions on what I could substitute in place of the CrossGrip's stubby phillips implement?

Oh, and what tool does one use on those hexbolts?
