It's taken a while to get to this point, but tomorrow (Thursday) I leave for Taipei, Taiwan. I'll be staying there for 10 months, studying Chinese language at one of the top programs in the world for it (guoli taiwan daxue guoji huayu yanxisuo), so I'm very excited.

I hope to get internet set up quickly over there, but I will probably reduce my participation for a lil while anyway.

If there is anyone in Taipei area, feel free to drop me an email at xiaomage (at) gmail.com since I will only have email contact, no phone right away. I need as many contacts as I can get hehehe. :D

Rob,
Good luck... Taiwan is a very nice place... please take pics of Betelnut girls and post them as often as possible. Internet Cafes are very common so don't worry about getting access... your only obstacle is that Windows is in Chinese so try to memorize the common Windows functions and buttons while it's in English here. If you're a white boy, you're gonna get some serious free poon so play the part and get the poosay. When getting in close to closing the deal, the polite term for knocking boots is "Haysho Haysho". You say that in a taxi cab and you'll end up at a nasty brothel...

I'm gonna go to TaiChung near December or just before Chinese new year so if you're still there, I'm gonna look you up...

Also, if you can, try to pick up some of the Local Dialect... Taiwanese... very similar to Fukanese. The older folks use it more often and most of the young people don't understand it.

No knives in Taiwan... some stuff that's common here, but rare and overpriced in Taiwan. Also, I didn't ask, but I saw a few automatics... they might be legal there.

You can get cheap cai dao (cooking knives) made without too much problem, and there are a few reasonably well-known swordsmiths there.

I'm not looking for sex there or anything like that, I'm just there to be a student and to enjoy the scenery and language and all the cultural stuffs. Yeah, I'm a prude.

I will be in the area until June next year so feel free to try getting in touch when yer around.
