Left Handed Folders

Check out any of the Benchmade axis locks. I'm partial to the 705 and 710 models.

Ron, welcome to BFC.

If you don't want to spend the money for a Sebenza; the BM Axis lock is the way to go.

I prefer one of the BM 940s.

Any and all Spyderco with a clip that can be reversed to both sides will be a good choice.

Examples are:

C10 Endura FRN handle and C11 Delica FRN handle and many more models.

Welcome to the forum - where every question regarding the choice between two or more knives will result in more: "get them all" answers then anything else...

i'd get a spyderco or benchmade with the hole, and make sure the clip is switchable too, but then after awhile you just get use to opening it with your right hand, had to learn since some of knives i like just doesn't have a reversible clip

I second any of the BM Axis locks as 1st class. I also managed after quite a hunt to locate a Kershaw 1510L Random Task plain blade left-handed Ken Onion as well as a 1500L mini-task. Both were new. There may be a few more lurking in inventory at obscure dealers. - Lee

Since I was blessed with being left handed, I can make two suggestions to you. For a production knife, I love the Camillus mini-Cuda. It comes as a true left handed version and I have used one every day for the past year. Great little pocket knife. On the custom side of things, contact Charles Marlowe. The only problem with his work is that it is ALMOST too good to use.

The BM Axis models are awesome. So are the Spyderco models. Even if it doesn't have a reversable clip and carries right handed tip-down, then it's actually nice to carry it "backwards", because when you pull it out, your thumb is right on the thumb stud or hole.

I'll second what Rick says. The 940 is a very capable knife that is big enough for most anything that you would want to do with a folding knife and it is lightweight and carries easy. The axis lock seems very reliable and it works well left handed. If you want to go custom, Ralph and Mayo make nice left hand folders and will not charge extra to do so.

Thanks,
Since your replys I've been looking at the Benchmades, I think I will give one a try.
