Blade: Damascus steel, overall length is about 9 1/2 with a 4 1/4 " blade, closed length is about 5 1/4" The knife is signed and dated with month and year I made it.
The fileworked damascus blade and double bolsters, as well as the fileworked backspacer are from damascus forged by Al May. It is shaped and surface ground to 220 grit, 2 flat ground bevel grinds., hand sanded at 220, 400, 600 and 1200 grit before heat treating and fast oil quench. Then resanded and buffed before acid etching. It is heat treated and tempered to a Rockwell 55 to 58.
Handle: Scales are mother of pearl and have been sanded to a 1200 grit and buffed to a smooth finish. There are natural color variations in the pearl. The scale are held to the purple/gold colored anodized titanium liners via fileworked screws. The liners are also fileworked. There is a double thumbstud with fire opals on each side.
